Centre for Environment, Human Rights And Development (CEHRD) – Formerly known as the Niger Delta Project for Environment, Human Rights, and Development (NDPEHRD), the Center for Environment, Human Rights and Development (CEHRD) is a rural-based and rural-focused non-profit organisation founded on August 15, 1999 by conservationists, environmentalists, activists, and health workers in the Niger Delta region of Nigeria. CEHRD was formed to respond to the environmental, human rights, rural health, and underdevelopment problems plaguing the Niger Delta.
Developing Radio Partners (DRP) – DRP is a US-based non-profit media development organization that works with local radio stations in developing countries, providing them with the skills they need to bring reliable information to those who need it most. DRP was formally established as a non-profit organization in 2004, but its origins are in Bill Siemering’s first-hand experience and research in media development over the last twelve years.
European Commission – The European Commission represents the general interest of the EU and is the driving force in proposing legislation (to Parliament and the Council), administering and implementing EU policies, enforcing EU law (jointly with the Court of Justice) and negotiating in the international arena.

HSDA has 8 years of experience in implementing development projects in Sierra Leone. International Press Centre (IPC) – The International Press Centre – lPC, Lagos Nigeria is officially registered, through trusteeship, as a not-for-profit, non-governmental and independent media resource centre. Though based in south western Nigeria its activities extend to the rest of the country and the West African sub-region.
Media and Training Centre for Health (MTCH), South Africa – MTC tries to make a difference in the health sector by taking into account the big picture, by asking difficult questions such as what are the determining factors that impact on health? How do we address the health of vulnerable women and children taking into account the conditions under which they live? How do we bring together all the partners that influence health conditions?
Media Rights Agenda (MRA) – MRA was established in 1993 as an independent, non-governmental, not-for-profit organization for the purpose of, among other things, promoting and protecting media freedom and freedom of expression in Nigeria. MRA is registered in Nigeria and has Observer Status with the African Commission on Human and Peoples’ Rights.
Niger Delta Professionals for Development (NIDPRODEV) – NIDPRODEV is a Nigerian non-governmental organization (NGO) operating in the Niger Delta since 1999. Its current programs focus on three thematic areas: Community Development, Democracy and Governance and Human Security. Its activities include community assessments and data analysis, organizational capacity assessments and capacity building, training workshops, mentoring and mediation, and socially inclusive collective action for positive change. PANOS Institute, West Africa – The Panos Institute West Africa (CAPI) is an international non-governmental, independent and secular, founded in 2000 and completion of a program initiated in West Africa since 1988. He is the first member of the Panos South Panos Council. From its headquarters in Dakar, CAPI operates across West Africa, with performances and correspondents in most countries. PIWA works through information and communication, building a culture of democracy, citizenship and peace.
Search for Common Ground (SFCG) – Founded in 1982, Search for Common Ground works to transform the way the world deals with conflict – away from adversarial approaches and towards collaborative problem-solving. We use a multi-faceted approach, employing media initiatives and working with local partners in government and civil society, to find culturally appropriate means to strengthen societies’ capacity to deal with conflicts constructively: to understand the differences and act on the commonalities.
Stakeholder Democracy Network (SDN) – SDN works to empower those that have been worst affected by the activities of extractive industries, to help them to get a better deal. SDN is piloting its approach in the Niger Delta working with local communities and civil society groups. The Niger Delta is one of the world worst examples of a resource curse. The paradox of the Delta is acute poverty in the midst of plenty. Although billions of dollars of oil wealth flow every year from the region, the majority of communities live for less than $1 a day.
